The Crockpot can sing and rock?

Yes indeedy, The Crockpot is a rock band named after the comforting food appliance. See, I'm not the only one that is a fan of The Crockpot.

How does this happen? Your sitting around with your rock band buddies trying to name your band.

You look over and mom has left a crockpot full of comforting food out on the kitchen counter.

Viola!

Call your band "The Crockpot."

Unfortunately the name is already trademarked by Rival.

I wonder how long it will take them to get notified about that.

This Crockpot is homeless however. If you have a home for them please let them know.

Side comments: 16 and they are in college? And I love it that they are playing in the Smokefreerockquest in a town named Marlborough!

Here is a quote from the article:

"They have talent, instruments and original music but four Marlborough Boys' College students have nowhere adequate to practise their tunes leading up to August's Smokefreerockquest competition.

The Crockpot, featuring Casey Grieve, Joseph Scoon, Graeme Nelson and John Malkin, all 16-year-old, year 12 students, are hard at work refining two original rock tunes to perform at the competition.

It will be their first entry into the Smokefreerockquest, which will showcase Marlborough bands in Blenheim on August 18, followed by a national event in October.

"We all want to make it and it's a big dream of ours," said Casey. "In our song, Life, we are just saying follow your dreams and don't care what people say."
